Nat S. Leakey


In 1995, Centex opened its first assisted living facility in Mankato, Minnesota, outside the Minneapolis/St. Paul area. Between 1998 and 1999, the Company opened similar facilities in Round Rock, Texas (near Austin), League City, Texas (near Houston) and Amarillo, Texas. Additionally, Mr. Leakey assisted the State of Oklahoma in their efforts to write regulations for assisted living facilities with the intention of developing such facilities in the State. Furthermore, Mr. Leakey assisted in the development of a concept for Centex’s entry into a retail concept that sold products and services to seniors in two locations in the Northeast United States. His contributions to this Fortune 500 Company were significant.

Mr. Leakey is active and has held leadership positions in the Assisted Living Federation of America (ALFA) and the American Seniors Housing Association (ASHA). He holds a BBA in Economics from the University of Oklahoma and an MBA from the University of Texas at Dallas. In 1989, Mr. Leakey studied International Economics at The University of St. Andrews in Dundee, Scotland.

Mr. Leakey has an additional vested interest in the care of Alzheimer’s residents as it has affected his own family. His Grandma, Grenada Glassco, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, passed away from the Disease. He is proud to be a part of Preston Senior Living, LLC in a way that supersedes the owning and managing of the business.
