Mr. Nat S. Leakey is Principal of Preston Senior Living, LLC. Preston Senior Living was formed in 2002 to manage a portfolio of Texas Assisted Living Facilities that he developed and to seek out other nationwide management and development opportunities in senior housing. Since 1992, Mr. Leakey has significant experience in the development, management and operations of senior housing properties. His experience and knowledge of the assisted living industry provides Preston Senior Living, LLC with leadership hard to find in our industry.

Prior to Preston Senior Living, Mr. Leakey spent 10 years at Centex Corporation, one of the United States’ largest homebuilders and mortgage bankers and a Fortune 500 Company. More than once, Centex was awarded as The Most Admired Company in the United States by Fortune Magazine. While at Centex, as a young man in his 20s, Mr. Leakey formed its assisted living and senior housing division "from the ground up." In his words, “Centex was a very entrepreneurial company that gave young, talented people opportunities to run “popcorn stands,” in this case a $10 million company within a $3 billion conglomerate. Mr. Leakey lead a nationwide search for an appropriate entry point for Centex into the senior housing business and found the concept in a small company in Minneapolis, Minnesota called Kensington Cottages. The founder and owner of Kensington Cottages, Jon Rappaport, was a founding member of the Assisted Living Federation of America (ALFA) and is a mentor to Mr. Leakey. At Centex, Mr. Leakey was responsible for and participated in all aspects of the division's operation, including but not limited to: new product development, market research and feasibility, market and site selection, facility design and construction, real estate development, marketing, operations, strategic planning and government relations.
