Nat S. Leakey
President and Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Nat S. Leakey is President and Chief Executive Officer of Preston Senior Living. Preston Senior Living was formed in 2002 to manage a portfolio of Texas assisted living facilities and to seek out other nationwide management opportunities in senior housing.
Prior to Preston Senior Living, Mr. Leakey spent 10 years at Centex Corporation, one of the nation's largest homebuilders and mortgage bankers. While at Centex, Mr. Leakey formed its assisted living and senior housing division "from the ground up." At Centex, Mr. Leakey was responsible for and participated in all aspects of the division's operation, including but not limited to: new product development, market research and feasibility, market and site selection, facility design and construction, real estate development, marketing, operations, strategic planning and government relations. In 1995, the company opened its first assisted living facility in Mankato, Minnesota, outside the Minneapolis/St. Paul area. Between 1998 and 1999, the company opened similar facilities in Round Rock, Texas (near Austin), League City, Texas (near Houston) and Amarillo, Texas.
Mr. Leakey is active and has held leadership positions in the Assisted Living Federation of America (ALFA) and the American Seniors Housing Association (ASHA). He holds a BBA in economics from the University of Oklahoma and an MBA from the University of Texas at Dallas.
