Lorry Parker

Ms. Parker, a Certified Assisted Living Manager, joined The Cottages at Quail Creek in August of 2007 as Executive Director. Previously, she was a General Manager at Weight Watchers for 18 years before entering the senior housing business in 2002 as Executive Director of another assisted living facility in the Amarillo area. During her tenure at that facility, Ms. Parker received the Assisted Living Concepts Quality of Life Award for the region in 2004.
Ms. Parker serves on the Advisory Board of the local Alzheimer’s Association and is involved in community service in both Canyon and Amarillo. She is a member of the Senior Ambassador’s Coalition and is serving or has served on the Senior Ambassador’s Coalition Advisory Board, the Legislative Advocacy Committee, the Abuse and Neglect Committee, the Senior Fall Festival Committee, The Alzheimer’s Star-Studded Gala Committee, and the Alzheimer’s Memory Walk committee.
Since entering the senior care field, Lorry discovered her true passion in life….making a difference in the lives of the elderly. Caring for those with Alzheimer’s and memory loss is also a very personal part of Lorry’s life – she cared for her father who had the disease. She is honored to continue to make a difference in the lives of her residents and we are proud to have Lorry a part of the Preston Senior Living team.
